Service Description
Do you want to feel fully supported during your pregnancy and birth? Do you want to feel prepared going into your birth, but also want to have else there to help guide you through the journey just in case? This service is for you. Dr. Zazu is not only a pelvic floor specialist, but also a certified birth doula and her goal is to help you feel supported and safe during your birth, including partner support, and helping you ask the right questions if things don't go as planned. Included in the Birth Doula Package are: 2 prenatal visits in the comfort of your home to get to know each other, discuss your birth preferences and prepare for birth (each up to 2 hours) Includes but not limited to: Define labor, how labor starts, true vs false labor, stages of labor, timing contractions, when to call caregiver/go to the hospital, what to bring, physical and emotional coping strategies (breathing, relaxation, positioning), and you get hands on practice in comfort measures- learn how to write birth preferences, informed about medical options and procedures, including pain medications and cesarean birth, plenty of time for discussion and questions. 1 postnatal visit in your home - postpartum check (within the first week) Any feeding questions/referrals, check on any pain or physical discomfort that may be lingering, your birth story, help finding local support group and recommendations, signs of postpartum depression and anxiety, pelvic floor and orthopedic assessment check Phone and email support through your entire pregnancy On call 24/7 doula support from from 38 weeks on Continuous emotional, physical, and informational support through labor and birth (including early labor in home, hospital, and Cesarean birth pending hospital protocol), 1 hour after birth to support established feeding These services also include access to: - Birthing meditations to practice prior to labor and delivery that can be used as a helpful pain/stress management tool during birth - Hospital pain management options course, including epidurals 101 section **Option to ADD on a pelvic floor physical therapy/return to physical activity check (anytime from 6-8 weeks postpartum) (1-2 hours)
Cancelation Policy
To cancel your appointment, 24 hours notice must be given. If client does not show up to their appointment within 15 minutes of start time, all fees will be forfeited by the client. You can reschedule up to the time of your appointment. In case of emergency or illness, please reach out to Zazu@PhoenixPT.info immediately.
